Introducing Florida Train Stations

This site was created as a tribute to Florida's rich railroad history. When we abandoned our passenger railroads we didn't just lose a mode of transportation. We lost a way to rid ourselves of car dependency, eliminate loneliness by bringing people together, eliminate pollution, eliminate obesity by encouraging walking, eliminate millions of hours wasted behind a steering wheel, eliminate thousands of traffic deaths every year, and eliminate acres of wasted parking spaces in our valuable downtowns. I hope this website inspires people to think twice about turning railroad tracks into running trails and stations into museums. A train station does more to get people outside, walking, and interacting than a running trail ever will. Let's bring back our trains!
